Marilyn (Mackey) Connell

 Marilyn Louise (Mackey) Connell was born March 1, 1933, to James Earl and Mabel (Trimble) Mackey in Hamburg, Iowa. She was raised in Woodbine and graduated from Woodbine High School in 1951. Marilyn married Richard Lindahl on September 19, 1953, in Omaha, Nebraska. To this union three children were born. The couple lived in Grand Island, Nebraska where Marilyn sold Hammond Organs. She even played the organ on television. Marilyn then moved to Omaha and on October 28, 1978, she married James Connell. The couple moved to Santa Teresa, New Mexico for fourteen years. After James died Marilyn moved back to Omaha.

 Marilyn loved to garden, sew and dance. She did a lot of volunteer work over the years. She was a great mom.

 Marilyn died on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 91 years, five months and 24 days.

 Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and six siblings, James Mackey, Jr., Shirley Corbett, Donna Perse, Mabel Brummer, Carol Morrison and Janet Heig. She is survived by her three children, Richard ‘Rik’ Lindahl, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Kimberly and her husband Leslie Kush of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Joi Gans of Las Vegas, Nevada; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
