Marilynn Schmitt

Marilynn Donelle Schmitt was born on September 30, 1958, to Harold and Margaret (Rogers) Schmitt in Denison, Iowa. She was raised on a farm south of Dow City and graduated from Dow City High School in 1977. Marilynn graduated from Creighton University with a degree in mathematics and physics. She worked at the Crawford County Hospital, on the farm, as well as at the Denison Care Center.

Marilynn was a member of the Dunlap United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed photography, walking, and music. Additionally she enjoyed collecting coins.

Marilynn died on Monday, October 19, 2015, at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 57 years and 19 days.

Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, John Schmitt of Dunlap, Iowa; two sisters, Margaret "Peg" Schmitt of Omaha, Nebraska, and Marie Schmitt of Dunlap, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
