Mary Martha (Keuter) Haner was born on August 6, 1913, near Dunlap, Iowa to parents Herman John and Mary Elizabeth (Book) Keuter. Martha attended school in the Dunlap area. Martha and her twin Margaret met their future husbands at a local dance. Martha was married to George Haner on November 27, 1933. The couple lived in the Woodbine area. George died on March 7, 1967.
Martha was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, jigsaw puzzles, plants and her vegetable garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, sisters, Eileen Frazier and her twin Anna Margaret Nuzum and a brother Ambrose Keuter. She is survived by her six children, Georgia Ann Albers of Woodbine, Iowa, Jannette & her husband Virgil Coleman, Sr of Omaha, Nebraska, Linda & her husband Richard McCoid of Dow City, Iowa, Pam & her husband Gene Hendricks of Harlan, Iowa, George Haner & his wife Julie of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Rory Haner of Waterloo, Nebraska; 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
