Mary Louise Frazier was born on February 20, 1936 in Wolf Creek, Tennessee. Her family moved to Louisiana where she attended school for a short time and then helped out at home. On March, 10 1961, Mary was joined in marriage to Charles Frazier at the Methodist Church in Dunlap, Iowa. Charles and Mary moved a lot for his job, but the couple always considered the Dunlap/Dow City area their home.
Mary enjoyed going to church and made sure that wherever they were living that she had a church to attend. She was a strong woman, having battled cancer multiple times. Mary also loved cats and at one time had more than 30 of them.
Mary died on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Eventide in Denison, Iowa at the age of 84 years, nine months and 18 days.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and children, Jackie, Charles and Linda. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Frazier; children, John Frazier of Cedar Falls, Iowa, James Frazier of Des Moines, Iowa, Jeff Frazier of Waterloo, Iowa, Mary Jo Frazier of Denison and Kenneth O’Shay of Washington; many grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
