Mary Miner

Mary Margaret (Edmonds) Miner was born September 30, 1926, to James Herbert and Rohease Elizabeth (Campbell) Edmonds in Mills County, Iowa. She was raised in the Glenwood area. Mary married Archie Dean Miner on June 29, 1945, in Glenwood. The couple farmed in the Glenwood area and was blessed with four children

Mary was a wonderful housewife and mother. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She always had a large garden and canned all the produce. She also took great pride in her flower garden. Mary enjoyed sewing and quilting and reading her Bible.

Mary died on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa at the age of 83 years, one month and two days.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Archie Miner on July 31, 1991; and one sister. She is survived by her four children, Mary E. Miner, Judy Ann Miner, James E Miner and Donald D. Miner all of Pisgah, Iowa; brother, Jack Edmonds and his wife Carol of Pacific Junction, Iowa; sister-in-law, Deloris Hager of Omaha, Nebraska; and many other relatives and friends.
