Melody Watkins

Melody Rose (DuClos) Watkins was born January 3, 1968, to Don DuClos and Phyllis (Nack) DuClos in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was raised in the Council Bluffs area and then she moved with her family to Woodbine, Iowa. Melody graduated from Woodbine High School in 1984. Melody married Jeff Watkins and the couple was blessed with two children, Cody and Nicole. She worked at various nursing homes and home health agencies.

Melody enjoyed riding motorcycles, yard work, and shopping. She also enjoyed all types of sports.

Melody died on September, 13, 2010, at her home in Woodbine, Iowa at the age of 42 years, eight months, and 10 days.

Melody was preceded in death by grand-parents; father, Don DuClos in 1983; and sister, Debbie DuClos. She is survived by four children, Cody Watkins Carlstat, New Jersey, Nicole Watkins of Omaha, Nebraska, Colton Watkins of Woodbine, Iowa, Cheyenne Watkins of Woodbine, Iowa; mother, Phyllis Barnard of Woodbine, Iowa; two brothers, Don DuClos of Minnesota, Richard Barnard of Council Bluffs, Iowa; one sister, Dawn Scott of Woodbine, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
