Myrwyn "Mike" Kenneth Nailor was born December 11, 1928, to Ralph and Olive (Ball) Nailor in Battle Creek, Iowa. Mike was raised in Battle Creek and graduated from Battle Creek High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1948 ~ 1952. He earned the Navy Occupation Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Mike married Mary Ross and the couple was blessed with three daughters. Mike retired from Farmland in Denison, Iowa and later worked as a janitor for the City of Dunlap and he also worked at Twin Valley Vet Clinic in Dunlap.

Mike was a member of the VFW and American Legion. His passion was fishing in Alaska as well as hunting in Wyoming. He traveled to many places and flew over the North Pole. He also enjoyed gardening.

Mike died on Sunday, October 17, 2010, at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 81 years, 10 months and six days.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Nailor on September 24, 2006; and two brothers, Ralph and Donald Nailor. He is survived by two daughters, Nancy and her husband David Lynch of Belvidere, Illinois, Sheryl and her husband Mike Witkowski of Kirkland, Illinois; grandson, Michael Witkowski and Brittany of Kirkland, Illinois; sister, Fran Swift of Tucson, Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Deena Nailor of Mason City, Iowa, Marilyn Nailor of Battle Creek, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
