Milton Henry Niedermyer was born on July 5, 1924, to Henry and Helen (Hester) Niedermyer at the family home. Milt was raised near Pisgah and he graduated from Magnolia High School. Milt married Mary Epperson on February 28, 1946, at the Pisgah Catholic Rectory. The couple farmed near Pisgah, and their farm has earned the distinction of being a registered 100 year farm. Mary died on June 2, 2013.
Milt was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Logan, Iowa. He enjoyed hunting and playing cards. He especially enjoyed being with his family.
Milt died on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Midlands Living Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 93 years, 11 months, and 14 days.
Milt was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Niedermyer; son, Jim Niedermyer; and two sisters, Dorothy Carlson and Lena Beauseigneur. He is survived by four children, Marilyn and her husband Dan Niedermyer of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Frank Niedermyer and his wife Stephanie of Omaha, Nebraska, Tom Niedermyer and his wife Patty of Pisgah, Iowa, Hazel and her husband Les Granum of Omaha, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren; 20+ great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Ramona Epperson of Germantown, Tennessee, Eileen and her husband Dick Smith of York, Nebraska; and many other relatives and friends.
