Nicholas Charles Cleveland was born on December 9, 1949, to Donald and Maxine (Greer) Cleveland. He grew up in Woodbine, attended school there and graduated in 1968. Nick went to Dana College for a year before he was drafted to serve in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, he returned home to help on the family farm.
Nick was a talented musician. He started playing music in high school and was a part of many small bands, including Country Gold. He was known to play the drums, guitar, harmonica and other instruments over the years. Nick also loved his dogs.
Nick died on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at CHI Alegent Health Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 74 years, six months and seven days.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Chloe. He is survived by his wife, Lana Cleveland; son, Cade Cleveland and his wife Kaitlin; daughter, Jennifer Muff and her fiancé, Jay Neely; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
