Norma Jean Kucks was born November 28, 1932, in Woodbine, Iowa to parents Charles and Lillian (Chatburn) Kucks. She grew up in the Pisgah area and graduated from the Pisgah High School in 1951. On July 21, 1951 she married Marvin Holsapple. The couple lived in Biloxi Mississippi, Colorado, and Long Beach California before returning to Pisgah in 1956 to farm. Norma worked for National Indemnity Insurance Company in Omaha as a file clerk for over 17 years.

Norma loved her family, reading and completing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed gardening and canning her produce.

Norma died February 19, 2004, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska reaching the age of 71 years, two months, and 22 days.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother; and four infant grandsons. She is survived by her husband Marvin of Pisgah; four children Dennis Holsapple and his wife Patricia Winter of Wilmett, Illinois, Nancy and her husband Fred Radloff of Pisgah, Iowa, Mike Holsapple of Moorhead, Iowa, John Holsapple and his wife Tamera of Pisgah, Iowa; eight grandchildren; sister Charlene and her husband David "Andy" Murphy of Missouri Valley, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
