Nova Dwyer

Nova Lea (Elswick) Dwyer was born July 1, 1937, to Omer and Evadna (Bolton) Elswick in Villisca, Iowa. She attended Villisca schools and graduated from Villisca High School in 1955. Nova then attended Business School in Omaha, Nebraska before working for Northern Natural Gas. Nova married Kenneth Dwyer on April 22, 1967, in Omaha. Nova then worked for Iowa Power Company at various locations. She retired from Iowa Power.

Nova was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughter's and the Legion Auxiliary. Nova enjoyed spending time with family, friends and her two cats, Susie & Sophia. She also enjoyed traveling.

Nova died on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Mercy Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa at the age of 75 years, nine months, and 20 days.

Nova was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Duane Elswick. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Dwyer of Dunlap, Iowa; brother, Richard Elswick and his wife Geraldine of Rockford, Illinois; nephew, Jonathan Elswick and his wife Heidi of Fredericks, Maryland; niece; Julie Elswick and her husband Bob Suchomel of Wadsworth, Illinois; grand nephew, Kyle Elswick of Frederick, Maryland; cousins, Betty Smith of Carson, Iowa and Dorothy Swig of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
