Pam Heller

Pamela Ann (Thiessen) Heller was born June 20, 1953, to Orval and Catherine (Brown) Thiessen in Hastings, Nebraska. She was raised in Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School. At the wedding of Sharon and John, Pam met her future husband Joe Heller. The couple married on October 14, 1972, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ashland, Nebraska. The couple lived in Dunlap their entire married life. In January of 1980, Joe and Pam purchased the Gold Slipper in Dunlap. They sold it in 2002. Pam also worked for the U.S. Post Office from 2012 until her retirement in 2018.

Pam was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Altar Society in Dunlap. She loved her grandchildren and watching the various activities they were in. Pam also loved to shop and go to the casino.

Pam died on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 66 years, four months, and 27 days.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Urban and Kathleen Heller; husband, Joe Heller on April 14, 2012; sister, Colleen Jones; three brothers-in-law, John Heller, Bob Bleich and Jerry Hull; and sister-in-law, Rita Kellogg. She is survived by three daughters, Stacie and her husband Paul Schuyler II of Bellevue, Nebraska, Michelle and her husband Mark Grefe of Arlington, Nebraska and Laura and her husband Justin Schaben of Dunlap, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Emily, Shade II, Paulie, Caily, Parker, Breck and Joe; four sisters, Marcella and her husband Robert Raikes of Louisville, Colorado, Catherine and her husband Dean Stephany of Woodbine, Iowa, Mary Jane and her husband Gary Campbell of Riverton, Wyoming and Sharon Heller of Bennington, Nebraska; brother-in-law, John Jones of Murdock, Nebraska; three sisters-in-law, Rosemary Bleich of Belleville, Illinois, Patricia and her husband Ed Wilson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Susan and her husband Terry Hall of Algona, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
