Patricia Arlene Hardy was born on November 6, 1944, in Magnolia, Iowa to Dewey and Bertha (Benson) Cox. She attended school and graduated from Woodbine High School. Patricia was united in marriage to Arnold Hardy on July 14, 1962. She worked for many years as a Home Health Aide in Harrison County.
Patricia found joy in the simplicity of rural life, avidly helping on the family farm and proudly operating her own tractor. A devoted fan of the music duo Brooks and Dunn, Patricia made it a tradition to attend their concerts every year, filling her life with the melodies that comfortably resonated with her spirit. Traveling was a great joy for Patricia, with adventures taking her to 18 countries, each journey enriching her life and broadening her perspective on the world around her. Patricia's green thumb blossomed in her well-tended garden, and her artistic side flourished through painting. A remarkable angler, she once caught a tremendous 200-pound halibut during an unforgettable fishing trip in Alaska. Her love for the outdoors was evident, and she cherished every moment spent in nature's embrace. Above all, Patricia adored her family.
Patricia died on April 6, 2025, at Azria Health Rose Vista in Woodbine, Iowa at the age of 80 years and five months.
