 Patrick Lynn McHugh was born on January 28, 1957, in Pisgah, Iowa to Soloman Dean and Nina (Butts) McHugh. He grew up in Pisgah, attending school at West Harrison where he graduated. Pat furthered his education at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa where he studied graphic design. He was united in marriage to Mary Hammitt on July 2, 1988, in Norfolk, Virginia. They continued to reside in Norfolk where Pat worked as a maintenance man at the Bethel Baptist Church and the Norfolk schools.

 Pat enjoyed fishing and watching TV. He loved his dog, Jasper.

 Pat died on Monday, August 26, 2024, at his home in Norfolk, Virginia at the age of 67 years, six months and 29 days.

 Pat was preceded in death by his father, Dean McHugh. He is survived by his wife, Mary McHugh of Norfolk, Virginia; mother, Nina McHugh of Pisgah; brothers, Lonnie McHugh and his wife, Vicki of Pisgah, Timothy McHugh and his wife Deborah of West Liberty, Iowa and Terry McHugh of Pisgah; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
