Philip Weber

d. February 5, 2010

Dunlap, Iowa

THERE WILL BE NO VISITATION

Philip Allen Weber was born December 20, 1938, to James Lavern and Flora Belle (Gorham) Weber in Dunlap, Iowa. Through the years, Philip lived with his family inIowa, California, Arkansas, and Texas. When the family lived in Heber Springs, Arkansas Philip raised chickens and also sold the eggs from the chickens. The worst part of this venture was that the rooster chased him. He DID NOT like that. In1989 Philip's father died so Philip and his mother moved from TexasbacktoDunlap, Iowa.Philip quicklymade many new friends and he enjoyed visits fromhis cousins.

Philip was a member of the Dunlap United Methodist Church. He has been a resident of Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center since 2003. He helped the staff pass out song books, bingo cards, etc.Philip especially loved to dance at family weddings and celebrations. Philip had a terrific memory. He recitedbirthdates and namesof people from the past.He wasa gentle and loving person. When you were around you were apt to be a recipient of one of his "bear hugs."

Philip died on Friday, February 5, 2010, at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 71 years, one month, and 16 days.

Philip was preceded in death by his father in 1989 and his mother in 2003. He is survived by his brother, Terry Weber and his wife Vonda of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two nephews, Aaron Weber and his wife Jennifer and Andrew Weber; and many other relatives and friends.
