Ralph William Tucker Jr. was born November 5, 1936, to Ralph and Evelyn (Casebeer) Tucker in Neodesha, Kansas. He was raised in the Neodesha area and graduated from Neodesha High School in 1954. After graduation Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He then attended Bethany Nazarene College and graduated in 1969. He was ordained in 1970 and was an Evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene. He received his Doctorate of Divinity in 1985.
Ralph was a member of the Church of the Nazarene for 44 years. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He enjoyed cutting and splitting firewood as well.
Ralph died October 30, 2008, at his home near Woodbine, Iowa at the age of 71 years, 11 months, and 25 days.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Johnson; and daughter, Tonya Tucker. He is survived by his wife, Alyce of Woodbine, Iowa; one son Rev. Rodney (Susie) Tucker of Des Moines, Iowa; three daughters, Brenda (Rodney) Hare of Neodesha, Kansas; Anita (Mike) Claus of Neodesha, Kansas; Sheri (Kelly) Griffith of Bethany, Oklahoma; one sister, Wilma Price of Brownsville, Texas; one brother, Robert Tucker of Neodesha Kansas; ten grandchildren; six great grand-children; and many other relatives and friends.
