Raymond Eddins

Ray R. Eddins, 56 of Deloit, IA died on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at the Creighton Medical Center in Omaha.

Raymond Ruben Eddins, Sr was born on January 21, 1948 in Corpus Christi, Texas to parents Huby & Ruby (Coterill) Eddins. He grew up in the Corpus Christi area and graduated from W. B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi. He served in the US Army. Ray then worked in the Petroleum industry as a boiler maker. Later on he became a bus driver for the Trailways Bus Line. In 1988 Ray moved to Dunlap and on October 31, 1988 Ray married Pam McManus McDevitt in Dunlap. Ray was injured and disabled in 1993. Ray and Pam moved to Deloit in 1996. Ray was very active with the Deloit Fire & Rescue Departments.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael Eddins on December 10, 2003 and nephew Jeff Eddins. He is survived by his wife Pam of Deloit; three children, Tammy Sue Smith and her husband Greg of Dallas, Texas, Raymond R. Eddins, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Carroll, Iowa and Richie Bob Eddins and his fianc�e Christi Harris of Corpus Christi, Texas; one step daughter Cari Segebart and her husband Jason of Denison, Iowa; nine grandchildren; brother John Eddins and his wife Jan of Corpus Christi, Texas and a sister-in-law Becky Eddins of Gothenburg, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday November 21, 2004 at the Life Line Church in Dunlap, Iowa, Rev Marcia Campbell will officiate. Fouts Funeral Home of Woodbine and Dunlap was in charge of the arrangements.
