Mary Frances Borecky was born on October 5, 1946, in Bloomington, Illinois to Lyle and Mary Alice (LaFever) Casali. Her family moved around a lot while she was a child and a couple of those places included Wisconsin and Alaska, where she attended high school. While she was in grade school, she had many other girls named Mary in her class, so her teachers started calling her Renee and it stuck with her. Her other nickname, given to her by her brother was ‘sis’. On August 13, 1969, she was united in marriage to Robert ‘Bob’ Androy. Renee was blessed with six children, Jim, Tom, Melissa, Jodi, Andy and Jason. On August 29, 2000, she was married to Steve Borecky in Denison, Iowa. Renee was a Certified Nurses Assistant for over 35 years.
