Richard Dasenbrock

Richard Henry Dasenbrock was born August 10, 1937, to Herbert and Helen (Callies) Dasenbrock in Norfolk, Nebraska. He was raised in Stanton County and Creston, Nebraska. He graduated from high school in 1954 and then attended Midland College for two years and Wayne State Teachers' College for two years. Dick married Barbara Burkholder on December 27, 1959, at the Woodbine United Methodist Church. He began his teaching career in Belden, Nebraska teaching high school social studies and business for two years. He then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and pursued his Master's Degree. He worked at First Trust, National Bank of Commerce, Bridges Investment, and then the U.S. Bank in Lincoln. The couple moved to Omaha in 1970 and Dick retired in 2001.

Dick was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Master where he was very active holding various positions in the church. He was also in a Rotary Club and was a Chartered Financial Analyst. Dick could always find out what people needed and he would help anyone and everyone. Dick had a huge heart!

Dick died Friday, July 13, 2012, at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 74 years 11 months, and three days.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Kendal Marie Dasenbrock. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Dasenbrock of Omaha, Nebraska; five children, Greg (Lori) Dasenbrock of Omaha, Nebraska, Alan Dasenbrock of Lincoln, Nebraska, Jeff (Dena) Dasenbrock of Millard, Nebraska, Amy Dasenbrock of Omaha, Nebraska, Beth (Trevor) Anderson of La Vista, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren; seven+ great grandchildren; three siblings, Jeanne Went of Columbus, Nebraska, Wilbur "Bud" (Betty) Dasenbrock of Lincoln, Nebraska, Ann (Jim) Podraza of Walnut, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
