Richard Mann

Richard Wayne Mann was born January 29, 1962, to Max and Gerry (Speake) Mann in Omaha, Nebraska. He started school in Woodbine and then when he was in third grade the family moved to Missouri Valley and he attended school there. Rick began working in the construction and carpenter business. He also proudly served his country in the US Navy. Later on he took a job dismantling old ships. On January 12, 2005, Rick married Patricia Post in Texas.

Rick enjoyed music, especially playing his guitar and singing. He also enjoyed fishing and watching sports.

Rick died on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at his home in Dickinson, Texas at the age of 52 years, six months, and five days.

Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents; father; two brothers, Dennis Juilfs and Terry Mann and sister, Deb Kepford. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Mann of Dickinson, Texas; three step daughters, Lisa and her husband Scott Stevens, Kimberly Harris and Jodi and her husband Arnold Mendez; five grand-children; mother, Gerry and her husband Don Otte of Woodbine, Iowa; three sisters, Linda and her husband Terry Steel of New Sharon, Iowa, Terri Cozad of Woodbine, Iowa, Pam Rathmann of Jacksonville, North Carolina; three brothers, Ron Mann of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Keith Mann and his wife Diana of West Linn, Oregon, Kenny Mann of Pella, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
