Shirley Butcher

 Shirley Ann Butcher was born on February 17, 1949, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Edward and Betty (Barnes) Butcher. She attended grade school at Central Park and graduated from North High School in 1967. Shirley went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Bellevue College. Shirley worked at the Eastern Nebraska Human Services Agency and was there until she retired in 2014. 

 Shirley loved taking care of others’ needs. She worked with special needs clients and would often have them live with her. She loved to sew and spend time with her nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and the great greats.

 Shirley died on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 75 years, nine months and ten days.

 Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David Butcher. She is survived by her sister, Sharon Kelley of Valley, Nebraska; nieces and nephews, Trinity (Mike) Wakefield of Carlsbad, California, Joshua (Alison) Butcher of Irmo, South Carolina, Travis (Lori) Butcher of Omaha, Nebraska, Michelle (Michael) McCree of Alabaster, Alabama, Tim Kelley of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Christine Ouellette of Omaha, Nebraska and Brenda Ouellette of Omaha, Nebraska; great nephew, Trea Ouellette of Omaha and many other relatives and friends.
