Susan D. Fimple

 Susan Diane Fimple was born on October 20, 1945, in Omaha, Nebraska to Dale and Hallie (Cunningham) Fimple. She graduated from Benson High School in 1964. She attended college and later completed beauty school at Franco’s. Susan was united in marriage to James Jones, and they were blessed with three children, Michael, Nancy and Anthony. Susan began working at Union Pacific in 1979 and dedicated herself to her career there. She worked in various roles and ultimately excelled in crew management where she worked until her retirement in 2010.

 Susan enjoyed crocheting and baking. She also loved to travel, often embarking on these journeys with her sister, creating memories filled with laughter and shared experiences. She also loved horses and riding motorcycles and was a member of the Crescent Outlaws. Family was everything to Susan and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to her heart. 

 Susan died on Monday, February 17, 2025, outside of Dunlap, Iowa at the age of 79 years, three months and 28 days.

 Susan was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dale Fimple; and granddaughter, Christina Foote. She is survived by her children, Michael Jones of Underwood, Iowa, Nancy Jones of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Anthony (Chastity) Jones of Dunlap; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kyla, Chris, Brenna, Rachel, Shelby, Jacob, Renee, Michael, Wynnie, Galen and Jax; sisters, Charlotte Mander of Honey Creek, Iowa and Nancy House of Crescent, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
