Vicky Jo Runyan was born on April 30, 1956 in Mondamin, Iowa to parents Jay & JoAnn (Nuzum) Runyan. She began her schooling in Sioux City, Iowa and when she was in the sixth grade the family moved to Grand Island, Nebraska. She graduated from Grand Island High School in 1975. Vicky volunteered at the Veteran's Home in Grand Island and worked at the Goodwill Store. In 1979, Vicky moved to Omaha. In Omaha Vicky worked at the LaPetite Day Care Center and for the last 10 years she has volunteered at the Children's Hospital. She continued to baby-sit, dog-sit and house-sit. She was a member of the Faith Christian Church in Millard, Nebraska.
Vicky enjoyed movies, swimming and playing cards. She belonged to the YMCA in Omaha. She loved to listen to Elvis Presley music.
Vicky died on Monday, November 15, 2004, at her home in Omaha at the age of 48 years, six months and 16 days.
Vicky is survived by her parents Jay and JoAnn Runyan of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters Kim and Mark Byrd of Omaha, Kathy and Ken Morhain of Anchorage, Alaska and Cindy Runyan of Council Bluffs, Iowa; four nephews and one niece and many other relatives and friends
