Vince Reifenrath

 Vincent Leo Reifenrath was born on February 26, 1950, in Sioux City, Iowa to Raymond and Loraine (Rhoade) Reifenrath. He grew up in Sioux city, attending school at Jackson Public and Emmerson Public before graduating from South Sioux City in 1969. Vince drove straight truck for a while before moving for Texas for a few years. When he moved back to Iowa he lived in Council Bluffs for a year and then purchased the farm outside of Persia, Iowa where he has since called home. Vince was married to Janie Sondag for almost 32 years. He worked for River City Barricade and Data Documents. Vince officially retired in 2012.

 Vince loved the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, and went on hunting trips to North Dakota for bear, elk and antelope hunts. He also loved living off his farm. He raised cows, goats, many types of birds and even a llama.

 Vince died at his home outside of Persia on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 12 days.

 Vince was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Fred Reifenrath and Raymond Reifenrath Jr. He is survived by his son, Vince Reifenrath; daughter, Jennifer; sisters, Michele and her husband Michael Loos, Teresa and her husband Jerry Assmussen and Margaret and her husband Roy King; brother, Francis Reifenrath; and many other relatives and friends.

 Per Vince’s request there will be no public services.
