Warren Kelley

Warren Walter Kelley was born February 10, 1952, to Walter and Edna (Thiles) Kelley in Pisgah, Iowa. Warren was raised near Woodbine and graduated from Woodbine High School in 1970. Warren moved to Omaha and lived with Jim and LaFern Brown. He then returned to Woodbine and farmed for Bill Pryor and Bob Brummer and then worked at the Schemmers Rock Quarry and for Preben Jensen. Warren also drove a truck for Vern Tech hauling. On May 4, 1974, Warren married Judy Wagner. Warren worked for Hoppes Construction before returning to Preben Jensen and lastly he worked for Marvin Kelley.

Warren was a member of the Woodbine Saddle Club. He enjoyed tractor pulls and pickup pulls, but his passion was in running heavy equipment. He also enjoyed picking sweet corn and selling it ~ with the help of his grandkids. Most of all Warren loved spending time with his grandkids.

Warren died on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 64 years, two months, and 23 days.

Warren was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Kelley and his step-mother, Doris Kelley. He is survived by his father, Walter Kelley of Woodbine; three children, Tom (Kristina) Kelley, Kristy Kelley and fiancé Matt Harris and Justin "George" Kelley all of Woodbine, Iowa; Laura Kelley of Fort Dodge, Iowa; five grandchildren; five siblings, Linda (Larry) Ramsey of Woodbine, Margaret Kelley and Pat Kelley both of Council Bluffs, Dalene (David) Clark of Bennington, Nebraska, Craig Kelley of Woodbine; and a host of other relatives and friends.
