Kathy Douglas

Kathryn Irene (Kahre) Douglas was born October 26, 1943, to John and Annabelle (Boyd) Kahre in   Council Bluffs, Iowa. Kathy was raised near Logan, Iowa and graduated from Lo-Ma High School in 1961. Kathy married Harold Lloyd “Fuzzy” Douglas on November 1, 1968. The couple lived in Logan their entire married life. Kathy worked at Mutual of Omaha and retired from Life Claims Special Investigations. Fuzzy passed on August 1, 2015.

Kathy enjoyed Missouri football, boating, skiing and tubing. She also enjoyed going to the mall with Cody and eating breakfast sandwiches at McDonald’s. She loved to watch the news, Wheel of Fortune and she always served dinner at 5:00 p.m. Kathy thoroughly enjoyed vacationing at Lake of the Ozarks and Breckenridge, Colorado.

Kathy passed Saturday, August 4, 2018, at her home in Logan at the age of 74 years, nine months, and nine days.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fuzzy Douglas; sister, Ellen Hammer and brother, John Kahre. She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Frahm of Omaha, Nebraska; grandson, Cody Smith of Logan, Iowa; granddaughter, Victoria Smith of Northfield, Minnesota; nephews, Phil (Laura) Smith of Omaha, Nebraska, Curtis (Betty) Smith of Missouri Valley, Iowa and close friend, Dale Smith of Logan, Iowa. She is also survived by two great nieces; three great nephews; and other relatives and friends.
